Wings Club Broughton - Bowling Club

The Bowls Season runs from April to September, and all Home matches take place on the bowling green situated next to the Football Stadium. Teams play in the Chester League on Monday evenings, the Flintshire Midweek league on Wednesday evenings (no age limit), the Deeside Veterans League on Thursday afternoons at 2pm (age limit 55 and over), and the Ellesmere Port League on Friday evenings (no age limit). Wings Club Members can join the Bowling Club for a fee of £10 per annum.

Once a member you can play on the green whenever you like, you don’t have to play in any league matches.

You can enjoy various matches per week, depending on the league you are playing in, making it a fantastic way to stay active and social.

  • Where are matches played?

    On the club’s crown green, located next to the football stadium in Broughton, Flintshire.



  • Can I hire equipment?

    We currently have a limited supply of bowls but we are looking at adding to what we have.


  • How often are matches scheduled?

    A date for all league matches is available from all the leagues before the start of every season by March, and dates for all cup matches are also available at this time. All these can be found on the relative league web-sites.


  • Do I need to be an experienced player?

    No, the Bowling Club welcomes beginners and experienced bowlers alike.

Welcome to Wings Club Broughton - your local community club situated at the entrance to the Airbus factory in Broughton.


The facility, with its fitness centre, café, bar and multi purpose room, has been set up as a CBC (Community Social Enterprise).

All are welcome..

Although we have membership available e.g. to join the gym or to be an associate (member) of the bar, which will give you

discount on drinks and food, anyone can still come in and buy a drink without being a member.
